"Clouds" by singer songwriter Zach Sobiech is probably the most inspiring and heartfelt song to come out this year. Zach is a 17 year old cancer patient with an incurable disease called "osteosarcoma" which has recently spread to his lungs and pelvis. He has been given only a few more months to live and has decided to send his farewell to family and friends through his songs.
"Clouds" is Zach's touching new single written primarily for his girl friend and was professionally produced into this video and audio track after a radio executive heard him do a cover version of the Jason Mraz' hit "I'm Yours". You can watch the results of the recording session by viewing the video above.
Zach's supporters are hoping the video will go viral by getting at least a million hits before he passes. I first heard this song after it was featured Sunday night (Dec. 10) on the nationally syndicated radio talk show "Coast to Coast AM" with Ian Punnet. The video had 32,000 hits when I first checked it out and has since picked up thousands of views and more media coverage over the past few days.
Zach is supposed to release an album featuring this track and a number of other songs on December 15.
