CHART NOTES

Katy Perry holds on to the #1 spot for a second consecutive week with her single, "The One That Got Away". Check out the music video at the top. The song is the latest top 10 hit from her album Teenage Dream. Katy Perry had the 2nd most highest rated song on Mel's Weekly Top 20 Top 100 Hits of 2011 chart with "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)". That record stayed at #1 for 6 weeks.

Holding at #2 for a 2nd week is Nickelback and their latest single "When We Stand Together."

The song at #3 has grown on me quite fast. It's "Drive By" from Train, their latest single. The video is cool... gotta love the cars and of course the woman is pretty too. "Drive By" cruises up from #6 to #3 this week.

Biggest mover in the top 20 is definitely by Madonna. She makes a huge leap by moving from her debut spot at #20 of last week to #9 this week with "Give Me All Your Luvin'". She is joined on this single by contemporaries Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.

Way down at #19 we see one of the odd debut songs... Olly Murs' "Dance With Me Tonight" makes its second debut on the top 20 at #19 this week. The song fell off the chart last week after debuting at #20 two weeks ago. So far it has spent 2 weeks on the chart, and has made its debut twice, though this week it is marked as a "return". We'll see if this song can push some forward momentum.

Falling off from the chart this week is Coldplay's "Paradise". The song spent an incredible 22 weeks on the Weekly Top 20, peaking at #1 for 7 weeks late last year, making it the longest lived #1 track for 2011 and putting it on the top of the chart, numero uno for the Top 100 Hits of 2011. Now Coldplay is back with their latest single off the album Mylo Xyloto. This time their track "Charlie Brown" makes its chart debut at #20. It's the latest of 4 singles to be released from that album.
