CHART NOTES
The Cars are on top again for the 2nd week in a row with "Sad Song". It's off their latest album Move Like This.
The top 5 almost belongs to Lady GaGa this week. She has two tracks in the top 5. First at #3 is her current single, "Judas" moving up one from #4, and at #4 "The Edge of Glory" moving up from #9 last week. Both tracks are from the album Born The Way. Could #1 be in the sight of either song?
Holding in the top 5 are two former #1 records. First off Martin Solveig & Dragonette hold at #2 for a second week after dropping from #1 two weeks ago. Dengue Fever is still going strong with "Cement Slippers," though somewhat slipping from #3 to #5. Both tracks held on to the #1 spot for 5 consecutive weeks each, making both the current record holders for longest stay at the top so far this year.
There are three debut singles this week. At #18 is Coldplay and "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" which is on sale at Amazon MP3 for 69¢. At #19 is the latest track by The Script. It's called "For the First Time". The Smithereens, a stalwart rock group from the late 80s and 1990s are back on the chart with "Sorry" at #20. This track is from their latest album 2011.
