CHART NOTES:

Taio Cruz has the new number one song on the Weekly Top 20. "Break My Heart", a track with a pretty catchy hook, managed to move up one spot from the #2 position. This is the artist's first appearance on the Weekly Top 20.

Smashing Pumpkins barge in at #2 up from #6 of last week with their newest track "A Stitch in Time". It's one of the most played current tracks on my iPod and iTunes these days.
The fastest mover on the chart is "Animal" by Neon Trees. The track made its debut at #20 last week and is now up 7 points at position #13. It could be in the top 10 by next week.

The two songs making their chart debut this week are "Cool My Heels" at #19 from Nikki Yanofsky. The song is the 2nd jazz influenced track to make the chart this year. "Back it Up", a former #1 song by Caro Emerald is the other jazz track on the chart, which is still holding on at #6.

The second debut track is a new rocker by Justine Bennett. "Heavy Feeling" at #20 is a song that has been growing on me for the past few weeks. It was a free download from Amazon.com last month.

CHART NOTES:

Lady Ga Ga holds the #1 spot for the 3rd week in a row with "Alejandro".

Jaron and The Long Road to Love move into the top 5 with "Pray For You". The track enters at #5 moving up 1 point. The song is not about religion! The song is also being played on country radio. I consider it more of a mainstream pop tune suitable for top 40 and AC radio.

Smashing Pumpkins continue their steady climb moving up 4 from #10 to #6 this week. "A Stitch in Time" is beginning to sound more and more like a top 5 and possibly even a #1 hit to me.

Three songs fell off the chart this week. Two of them were former #1's. Gone are "Hey Soul Sister" by Train and "Need You Now" by Lady Antebellum. "Need You Now" topped the charts for 8 weeks this year and was on the top 20 since last November. A very long chart run for this huge, country crossover pop hit. Lady Antebellum is still on the chat with "American Honey" which peaked at #5 last week and is down 2 to #7 this week.

The third song that fell off was "Breakeven" by The Script. That song got as high as #2 and held that spot for a few weeks.

Replacing those songs are the following debuts: "We Are a Lighthouse" by The Rocketboys at #18, "Naturally" by Selena Gomez and The Scene at #19, and "Animal" by Neon Trees at #20. Neon Trees also have our new video showcase track which you can listen to and view right here.

CHART NOTES

Lady Ga Ga hits the #1 spot again for the 3rd time this year with her latest single "Alejandro". The track is taken from the album The Fame Monster and reminds me somewhat of the old Madonna song "La Isla Bonita".

Elsewhere on the chart the big movers this week go up 4 points each. Smashing Pumpkins' "A Stitch in Time" moves up 4 from #18 to #14 this week. It made its debut on the chart 3 weeks ago at #20. Following them are Barenaked Ladies with their track "Every Subway Car" also moving up 4 from #19 to #15.

Lady Antebellum is still holding on strong within the Top 10 with "American Honey" set at #5 for the 2nd week, while the long lasting "Need You Now" settles at #10, 1 point down from #9 of last week.

Jaron and the Long Road to Love has this week's featured video. "Pray For You" moved into the top 10 last week and jumps up 2 from #10 to #8.
